Your Donations Will Be A Great Help

Here’s How You Can Help

Your financial support for this project pays for the packaging and transportation of the donated books and materials collected by WNY Rotary Clubs.  All labor and management of the effort is provided by volunteers.

The Second Wind Foundation is Rotary’s fundraising arm of Books for the World.  It has been granted status as a tax-exempt  organization by the U.S. Department of the Treasury under section 501 (C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

With more than 10 million pounds of books sent from the US since 2001, this grassroots project continues to gather momentum throughout the Rotary network.  Rotary Clubs in District 7120 have already boxed and funded more than 100 pallets of books since 2009.

It may be a little extra physical work, but it’s well worth it.

Once you get the project started, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how many books are ‘out there’ and available to be distributed to those in need.
